ja rules! chapter 2

here's the 3rd and last part of my ja rule story: :)

so there was a technical problem nga. he talked with his bodyguard for a while and while they were talking, the music came back. he told the dj again: "stop that shit." so the music stopped. then ja rule was like: "ok. this is how we gon do it.." then he started rapping without music! as in a cappella! at first i thought he was freestylin' but his companion (protege i guess), who was singing with him since the start, was rapping with him in some parts so.. so much for my freestylin imagination. haha. after that, he sang wonderful from the start.

there was a tribute part for the rappers who have passed away. he sang so much pain, his song with tupac shakur. he dedicated it to tupac, lisa "left eye" lopes, ol' dirty bastard, notorious b.i.g. and to "my baby girl aaliyah." ang sweet! i think he dedicated it to other artists as well but i can't remember their names.

after, he said something like: thanks for coming.. i don't know how much you paid for this shit.. just to come here.. so thank you.. basta parang ganyan..

then he invited EVERYONE to the after party at v bar.. then went backstage. i thought he was just going to put on a new shirt but no! tapos na pala yun. nakakabitin! time flew by so fast! it ended mga 10:30 pm.

ito pa pala: when he was saying thanks, he was holding his cute green shirt.. the one he wore when he came out then removed.. i thought he was going to throw it to the audience! parang ako.. wag mong itatapon yan! itago mo na.. good thing he didn't! he was still holding it when he went backstage. buti na lang! dahil gusto ko sakin yun! haha. napaka-selfish na talaga.. ok lang na sa iba na mapunta yung towel niya.. basta sakin yung shirt! haha. i really like the color.

i forgot to mention that he threw 2 towels to the audience. the first was when he still had his shirt on and the second when he wasn't wearing his shirt anymore... aaahhh!!! sana kahit isa sakin! haha.

anyway, the stage was almost bare except for the turntable of the dj. on the stage, while ja rule was performing, were his rapper companion/protege, bodyguard, dj, 2 people who were just talking.. haha. bodyguards din yata yun.. or baka manager yun.. or for moral support. haha. basta ewan. yung isa nga dun pareho pa sila ng color ng shirt ni ja eh.. yess.. close na pala.. haha. basta yung green na cute. and ang angas ng porma nung naka-green na yun ha! sana nag-rap din siya.. haha.

by the way, the gunshot was repeated throughout the concert. cute!

also, ja rule's way of speaking is so cute and angas! he has cuss words in almost every sentence. it's so normal for him. nakakatawa nga eh! haha. syempre he's black and it's normal in the states. nakakatawa lang siya. sobrang angas!

after the concert, we stayed for a little while so that it won't be crowded when we go out. we saw some pba players also staying for a while. i thought jayjay was there but he wasn't. :(

when we went to the ladies' room, we saw 2 sexy stars. hello.. nanood lang kayo ng concert. hindi kayo yung nag-concert noh..

the concert was fun! good thing ja rule sang old, familiar songs and not just purely songs from his new album so the crowd was able to relate and sing along.

the crowd was hip and fun. most of them were standing the whole time and everybody was enjoying the music and singing along.

while in the car on the way to megastrip to drop my ate and her friend off, our driver said that there were girls who were able to take their pictures with ja rule. and we were like: "oh? pano mo nalaman na siya yun?" so he described him and his descriptions somehow fit ja rule. he said the girls were waiting at the south gate when a van stopped and a window opened and it was ja rule! aaaahhh!! ang bait naman niya to stop and open his window!! :)

sayang nga my sister wasn't able to go to v bar eh..

there! that's how the concert went.

basta cute ni ja rule! :) kinilig nga ako the first time he went on stage eh. :)

just got home from the concert:

so.. as promised, here's the continuation of what happened at the ja rule concert:

there was a gunshot.. sound lang.. :) then ja rule came out in a very nice (i like it!) green (the shade i like) shirt and of course.. his bling (supah dupah shiny!!).

he sang a few lines (can't remember what song) then suddenly, he said: "stop that shit."

so the dj stopped the music and then ja rule said: "manila, ima teach you proper concert etiquette. the first rule is to scream as loud as you can. scream at the top of your lungs.. and that's the only rule.." cute noh? haha..

then he goes on saying that we own the place so we shouldn't be shy to make noise...

after a few songs, he grabbed his towel.. tapos punas punas.. then he threw it to the audience!! aaaahhh!! nainis nga ako eh.. dapat sakin yun.. haha. selfish pala..

a few more songs.. then he removed his shirt!!! aaaaahhh!!! so all he was wearing was his necklace. eh di ba black siya.. - pero yung pagka-black niya hindi yung sobrang black na parang 50 cent or p. diddy.. siya parang pharrell williams.. or baka darker ng konti - sobra yung necklace niya as in kumikintab sa katawan niya!! aaahh!! ang cute!! :)

he had a good set of songs. he didn't just sing songs from his new album. he also sang songs from his previous album. even the songs that featured different artists like jennifer lopez, ashanti and r. kelly. their parts were sung by the audience..

and you bet i was singing! especially when he asked: "what's my motherf*cking name?" i'm real!! aahhh!! as in tumayo talaga
ako kaagad and sang along.. but the "r. u. l. e." wasn't that loud so he said to the dj: "stop that shit" again and i was like.. ano ba!! nabitin naman ako.. and then it played again and i was singing my ass off!! haha.

other songs he sang: always on time, livin' it up, new york, clap back, mesmerize, ain't it funny, so much pain, and wonderful.. well, that's all i can remember. he sang quite a number of songs because he doesn't finish all of them.. sometimes he will just sing the 1st verse until the chorus..

eto pa.. while singing wonderful, suddenly the music stopped. we were singing r. kelly's part that time. so when it stopped, we thought the dj really intended to do that so we continued singing since in the other songs.. when it was the audience's turn to sing, humihina yung music. tapos biglang sabi ni ja rule there was a technical problem daw..

i'd have to stop here again.. hehe. sorry. it's too long kasi eh. may pagka-detailed yung kwento ko ha.. :)

my mom's birthday :)

happy birthday mommy!! i love you and i miss you!!

i was still sleeping when my mom called. my sister woke me up to greet her and when i got the cordless from her, i heard my dad speaking with my mom in the extension. i was so sleepy and surprised at the same time that as soon as i heard my dad's voice, i said: "daddy happy birthday!" my sister laughed and i thought "bakit? tama naman ah?" and then my daddy said: "mommy." tas parang ako: "ay, mommy happy birthday!" haha. presence of mind please! (hey.. i just woke up!)

that night, we had a celebration at home. so.. lots of food! :) yumyum!

last saturday

i sooo forgot that there were pbl games every saturday (maybe i was just excited for the concert. haha.) so i didn't even bother to check studio 23 or the newspaper. harbour centre played!! aarrrgghh!!

but at least they won. :)

so anyway, my sister and i arrived early in araneta. we went to starbuck's to meet her friend then we went to gateway.

as we were about to enter araneta, we wondered why it seemed like we were the only people entering. but then, we went in early so maybe people would be late.

but it was already 8 (time it was supposed to start) and still there were a lot of vacant seats left.

the host said the front acts would already start doing their stuff. it was already 8:30 but araneta wasn't still as full as that in the alicia keys concert.

the front acts were sun valley crew -> they're a rap group but only one of the members was present!, 7 shots of wisdom with picasso -> they were quite good, and ariana -> hmm...

and then kc montero and sarah meier went up the stage because they will be the ones to introduce ja rule on stage. but ja rule wasn't ready yet so they talked first (they were actually funny) and said that the winners of the mtv vj hunt were there too. they stood up so i saw them. they also said that they were backstage and ja rule was doing some pushups!! aaahhh!!! :)

i watched City of God yesterday morning on tv.

wow! good movie. :) this is a brazilian movie and i think it won several awards in different award-giving bodies around the world. it was based on a true story. go watch it!

anyway, did you know that chad michael murray and sophia bush are already married?

yup. that's right.

they got married last saturday.

hmm.

my week

haay. another week has gone by...

last sunday

went to our cousin's son's 1st birthday party at mcdo in eastwood. after that, heard mass at Christ the King Church then went to National Bookstore to buy some books.

last monday

woke up early so i could go with my ate and my dad for my sister's interview. after dropping her off, my dad and i went to quickbuilders to get my prom pics (haay.. it's been weeks and i still don't have them!) but alas... it was closed. hmp..

we then went to angelique's house to give her the cds she ordered.

waited for my sister then at noon, went to galleria to eat to see my dad's dentist then after, did some shopping. :)

last saturday

watched pbl

it was harbour centre vs nenaco san beda. of course, harbour centre won!! yehey! :)

after a shot made by la in the 4th quarter, the commentators said that mac and la did this chest bump against each other but it wasn't caught by the camera. grr! i've been waiting for that! haha. though i didn't see it, i think it's cute. :)

yesterday

heard mass at St. Joseph Parish in Greenhills. saw a basketball player (banjo calpito daw sabi ng kuya ko) and judy ann santos. haha. :)

after the mass, we went to shopwise to do some shopping.

so that's how my week went.

our phone had problems for 2 days last week so i wasn't able to post an entry.

anyway.. my sister bought paris hilton's book: "Confessions of an Heiress." we've been waiting for that for months because they ran out of stock. i read some parts of it and i find paris very friendly and funny. there was one part there where she had tips on how to be an heiress. haha. :) and tinkerbell, her dog, even had a diary! haha. i should start reading that soon..

i read in the newspaper last week that prince harry and prince william were the ones who decorated the bentley that their father and stepmum rode after their wedding. i saw it on tv and it was so cute! it says "just married" at the back of the car. so cute! :)

anyway.. i was kinda happy last thursday.. know why? i'm sure char and liq know why..

finally! i was able to catch them play. i set the alarm just so i could wake up on time to see them play.. normally, hindi ako nagigising sa alarm ng fone.. but this time.. nagising ako!! aaahh!! :)

the first game... who cares about the first game? haha. kidding. i don't know who won. i don't even know which teams played.

the second game was between harbour centre and granny goose. and guess who won??

la tenorio and mac cardona were soo cute!! :) and mighty mac (haha. nag-imbento daw ng moniker).. that's captain hook for you.. had 33 points!! wow. just like jayjay helterbrand when he played last Christmas Day. :)

speaking of jayjay.. saw him during their game last wednesday against sta. lucia i think. as usual.. he was cute as ever.. haha. arte daw. and they won!!! :)

my ate and i watched the godfather part 1 last friday. you know.. that 1970's film starring marlon brando and al pacino. it's good. though i got confused at times with the characters because some of them look the same. haha.

yesterday, i went to galleria with angelique.

we had a lot of catching up to do! daming kwento! so sept, we SHOULD all go out. complete ha. :)

we met up at auntie anne's then did some window-shopping.

then we went to see the movie be cool starring john travolta and uma thurman. the rock was also there and boy was he hilarious!

after the movie, we strolled for a while then ate at red ribbon with my dad. we bought some stuff then brought liq to her house and we went home.

i forgot to mention this in my previous entry but something cute/good/happy happened:

after the picture taking with paul artadi (his arm was over my shoulder, by the way :)), he touched/tapped my shoulder and said: "sige. alis na ko ha." aaahhh!!!!!!! ang bait! i was like: "sige. thanks." grabe ang bait niya sobra!!!

the good and the bad

ok. so this is the story of that eventful day.

but first.. the good and the bad.

the good:

i watched pba!! with karin, mlau, kat, issa (4th year) and someone else.

and guess what? it was purefoods vs. ginebra!! aaahh!! jayjay helterbrand from ginebra and paul artadi from purefoods. like what i told karin.. hitting 2 birds with one stone.

or so i thought...

the bad:

jayjay wasn't there!!! aaarrggh!!! how worse could it get?

the good:

i saw paul artadi! cute! not only that.. i also found james yap super cute!! as in!! aaahh!! :)

the bad:

ginebra lost.

the least that could happen since jayjay wasn't there was for them to win right? but no!

so it was double loss for me. haha. naiyak na daw.

good thing i didn't make that bet with kat..

the good:

i had pictures with paul and james (yess.. first name basis na daw.. haha). they are so cute!!

actually.. 2 birds with one stone nga.. naiba lang yung isa.. :)

the bad:

i hate my picture with artadi. gosh. i wasn't even ready.

so sorry.. no chance of posting it here..

on second thought.. maybe i would.. hindi naman ako yung titingnan ng mga tao diba?

during the game, there were gay purefoods fans shouting mean things to a player. i won't say which player and what those fans were shouting cause it was really mean.

we didn't watch the second game. i don't really like the teams playing though.. so it was alright.

the good:

i was finally able to satisfy my mexican food craving! yes! i ate at taco bell. the burrito that i ordered was pure beef so i wasn't able to finish it cause i was full right away..

ok. so here is the complete story:

i met up with karin and we went to araneta to meet up with the others. we went to starbucks because they said to meet them there. so i bought a drink for myself first then mlau called and said to meet her at the gate.

so we entered araneta and as we were walking to our seat (courtside but not behind the bench. the other side..), the ginebra players were coming out of the dugout and they were right in front of me!! nanigas na lang ako dun. haha. i stood there waiting for jayjay but all of the players had come out and he still wasn't there..

so i got a bit sad but i thought maybe he would go to the bench later pa.. so the game has started but he still wasn't there so i really got sad..

so yan.. game.. game.. game.. then halftime..

then game..game..game.. and purefoods won.

we went to the dugout to wait for the players.

after, karin, mlau, issa and i went to gateway and window-shopped a little. then they bought food and we went to taco bell to buy mine. issa left and the three of us ate there and talked about basketball.. no, actually, about the players.. haha.

around 9 pm, we left and went to burn's house to get mlau's dvd. and i had to pee there because i can't control it anymore.. haha. kailangan pati yun sinasabi..

then we dropped karin and mlau off at mlau's house.

so i went home. my sister got mad because i forgot that she had work that night and she needs the car. she has to leave home at 10 and we were still in pasig that time!

at home, frost and i went with our driver in bringing our ate to her office... in makati! so i had to travel again.. haha. kala sobrang layo..

we were supposed to buy food on our way home but my kuya called me and said to buy food later because he was going to work also and we had to bring him there!!

so we went home to pick up our kuya then went to his office! on the way home, we bought our food.

wow. what a day! busy. but fun! :)
